The Music Dream / Musikdrömmen

The Music Dream / Musikdrömmen can be applied for by a legal entity or sole trader with an F-tax certificate.

The applicant must meet all three requirements:

1. Be affiliated with Stim,
2. Have registered at least one new original work of music with Stim each year during the past three years, and
3. a) have received payments from Stim during the past three years, of at least 200 SEK per year or b) be a registered member of Stim.

The applicant should have the willingness and motivation for innovation and experimentation.

• In the application the applicant shall describe how the project can result in new music reaching and engaging an audience, and in what way the music can enrich musical diversity.
• Any intended collaborators should be mentioned in the project description for assessment of the project's feasibility.
• The project must be clearly limited in time and scope, which must be stated in the application.

• The applicant must have an organization number and a bank or PlusGiro account at the time of application (matching the organization number).
• The applicant must not have unpaid Swedish tax debts or fees, owe money to Stim or the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogdemyndigheten), nor be in liquidation or bankruptcy.
• Upon completion of a project that has been awarded The Music Dream / Musikdrömmen, receipts and verifications must be attached to the project's final report.
• Only one application per rightsholder affiliated with Stim with an F-tax certificate may be submitted.
• Applications for The Music Dream / Musikdrömmen are made via a form that Stim provides through My Pages.

• Recipients of The Music Dream / Musikdrömmen must report back to Stim on how the grant has been used and what the project outcome was, according to the instructions on My Pages.
• Reporting must be received by Stim no later than eight weeks after the project has ended. In the event that the project has not been completed before September 1st the year after the funds were disbursed, the applicant must submit a report no later than that date.
• If the project reporting does not correspond with how the project was described in the application, Stim has the right to reclaim all or part of the grant amount after dialogue with the project owner.
• If a project awarded The Music Dream / Musikdrömmen is not carried out within the agreed timeframe, this must be reported to Stim. The funds must then also be repaid unless otherwise agreed.
• A rightsholder who has been required to repay disbursed funds may not apply for new support until these have been repaid.
