License for music at events
The license is aimed at organizers of various types of events where Music is included, but is not the main attraction, such as launch events, conferences, pop-up sales, lectures, or various types of gatherings.
For public performance of Music used as background music during events, the licensee pays a fee to STIM as set out below.

The licensee shall pay the fee as set out in the License Confirmation or Special Agreement. The License Confirmation or Special Agreement also states whether the licensee must pay the fee in advance or in arrears. If the licensee is to pay in arrears there are special rules regarding Reporting in the General Terms.
Special conditions
Note regarding the scope and duration of the License
It is specifically noted that the License does not cover Live Music, events where a DJ is the main act, nightclubs, sporting events, or revues and dance shows, see Prices and special terms for the respective area.
The License normally runs quarterly in accordance with the General Terms. For licenses intended for an event that is not recurring, however, the contract period only covers the specific event and ends automatically, unless otherwise agreed in a Special Agreement.
Other
Advance notification
If STIM so requests, the licensee is obliged to notify STIM of planned events in advance. The notification must be submitted at least seven calendar days before the planned event and must include information about the date, venue and location.
Visits
STIM has the right to visit events in order to verify that the licensee provides correct information about Reporting and Music Reporting. STIM shall announce visits in advance and the licensee shall then provide two entrance tickets free of charge.
STIM's General Terms
STIM's General Terms must be read and accepted when the licensee obtains a license.
