2018 was another good year for STIM. Our revenues were over 2 billion SEK and increased by 2.2 percent from last year.

The change in the patterns of music consumption continues at a rapid pace and STIM needs to adapt continuously to meet the transformation in the market.
In 2018, revenues from traditional revenue areas like TV, radio, live, and background decreased. Regular television is steadily losing its market share and is being replaced by a variety of services. In background music, we can also detect the effect of retail businesses being under pressure.
The major success story of 2018 was in Video on Demand where STIM put licenses with the largest services in play and increased the revenues by 112% to 127 million.
