STIM is a Swedish collective management organization for music creators and publishers. On their behalf, STIM administers and licenses performing and mechanical rights to music and lyrics.
STIM is a non-profit member organisation tasked with ensuring that its affiliated rightsholders and music publishers get paid when their music is used. We provide the conditions for creativity and regrowth in the Swedish music industry. It’s why STIM strives to ensure that there are strong copyright laws in place.
Through its international network, STIM also manages the rights to a worldwide repertoire of music.

Who can join STIM?
All who has written music that has been played in public or been released can join STIM. If you signed a contract with a publisher, but your music has not yet been relesed, you can also join STIM.
How is STIM organized?
STIM is a non-profit organization built around music creators and their music publishers. STIM's board is composed of representatives active in the member associations FST - The Swedish Society of Composers, SKAP - The Swedish Society of Songwriters, Composers and Authors, and Musikförläggarna - The Music Publishers, and partly by independent members who contribute in various ways to business and culture. In addition, there are also employee representatives. The Chairman of the Board is independent.
