PRS, STIM and GEMA have been given clearance by the European Commission to set up a pan-European online music rights licensing and processing hub.

During the past year, STIM-licensed revenue totaled SEK 1,7 billion, an increase of 6 percent.

On Tuesday, May 26, the following took place at STIM's Annual General Meeting.

Starting June 1 NCB is launching a new licensing model for synchronization, which is the use of music in film and television productions. The model is the same for the entire Nordic region and contains flat rates and routines regarding direct licencing.

At this years Ascap Pop Awards Swedish acts were in the forefront. Max Martin won the category "Songwriter of the Year" for the fifth consecutive time which lands him an amazing total of eight awards.

In 2013 Export Music Sweden and Musiksverige issued a questionnaire to organizations in the Swedish music industry to explore their views on target markets for export. In 2015 a follow-up survey was conducted.
